Is the filter in the bottom of the wash tub supposed to be loose or connceted to the center cup?
Answer Hello Scott. The filter should be tight when installed under the lower spray arm. Make sure you have it seated properly into the sump assembly.
My spray tower and lower spray arm doesn't fit securely in the bottom of the dishwasher. It tips over very easily. Also, should the filter just sit in the bottom of the dishwasher? I removed it to clean it and now the edges aren't completely flush with the bottom of the dishwasher. Hope this makes sense.
Answer Hello Jamie,
The filter has to set in the base of the dishwasher in a certain position. It has to line up properly for the water ports to line up. This is most likely why it isn't setting flush. This may also affect the spray arms' ability to snap into position. The filter cup and spray arm have to clip into position properly for the assembly to install correctly. The spray arm has two clips that have to clip on to stay in position properly. If either of these two clips are broken off, the lower spray arm will have to be replaced.
when I put the polypro filter back on do I need something to seal the filter down?
Answer Lori, No there is no need to "seal" the filter in place. It is removable, you will need to remove it and clean it occasionally, Just becareful when removing and installing the filter, you don't want to damage it. Thanks
