The f3 error code keeps appearing every time the oven is on for a prolonged period. I took the temperature sensor out. How do I check the resistance?

I have a Frigidaire gas/electric range/oven plcs389aca. The problem is with the oven temperature. When the oven is preheating the little bars that indicate the pre-heat level never go above one bar. After a while the oven will beep as if it has reached temperature. However the temperature does not get to the proper level, it is much too low. It used to display all of the bars when it was pre-heating. I checked the probe and it reads 1075 ohms at room temp. There are no error codes. The lower element gets cherry red while it is heating up so that seems to be ok. What else should I look to test/replace? Thanks for the help.

Pre heat alarm will go off when temperature is reached, but heating does not shut off. Temperature will continue to rise to over 400°F. Does this sound like the probe or something else?

Latest Questions

My oven doesn't seem to maintain temperature, the preheat will go off, the red signal thing will go to the top, but it seems it is constantly going from the bottom to the top. Is this a control board problem?

Hello! The BROIL stopped working the other day, as in the element will not heat up. The EOC was replaced a couple months ago via Home Warranty for cost reasons, and all has been well up til now. Replaced BROIL element with new from your site with same result (nonfunction). Tested old and new element and getting resistance reads. Pulled temp probe out and tested, with no change on meter. Would this cause the issue or could it be a relay? Would like to know before ordering probe. Thanks so much, and you guys are the best!
