I'm pretty sure the bearing on the bottom of the transmission is bad, broken pieces are coming out of it and the washer will not spin during the spin cycle. Does the whole transmission need to be replaced? I can't get the main drive pulley to come off the bottom of the transmission shaft so I can remove the transmission from the leg/dome assembly. I have removed the bolt that keeps the pulley in place but can't seem to get the pulley to come off with the limited space there is to work with. I have the whole leg/dome assembly removed from the washer. The Trunnion has a lot of corosion on it, should this be replaced? Can you reccomend any othe parts that should be replaced. Thank you.

How do I replace washer belt? Have new belt can't find tension release

Answer Hello Glenn. Roll the old belt off the large pulley, then start the new belt onto the motor pulley and roll it onto the large pulley. These are very tight and are not easy to do. Be careful not to smash you hand or fingers doing the repair.
