Answer Hello Andy, The hinge receptacles are accessed from the side. The front edge decorative panel will have to be removed when you slide the unit out. It shouldn't have to be slid out more than a foot or so. This is not a hard repair.

Answer Hello Vince. It is possible for the receptacle 318342400 to be damaged, but usually the hinges are all that needs to be replaced. You would need to remove the receptacle to check and see if it is bad on the unit.
