No power to compressor.
Answer Hello Albert. You need to test and see where your losing power to the compressor at. Check the board and the capacitor. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html
The AC compressor runs even when you cut the unit off with the remote or by pressing the on/off button. It will then ice over.
Answer Hello Bobby. It sounds like the board in the unit is bad and will need to be replaced. You need to use your full model number to determine which board you need. Thanks.
I have a Frigidaire window air conditioner with both cooling and heating. The heat won't work. I think during winter the fan was stopped by some ice and caused the unit to stop heating. Roger.
Answer Hello Roger,
If the fan were inoperative for a while, since all of the heat just sits there with the thermal fuse, thermostat and the heating element, any of these items could have failed. The heating element should come with the other two items attached to it from the factory so this is what I would order. I cannot list a part number because the model number you listed was incomplete. If you would like us to post the part number, re-post with the complete model number (this should be found on an ID tag on the side of the window sleeve or along the base of the main bottom, under the cover that holds the filter in place).
