Answer Hello Steve, This can point to either the start relay or the compressor because a bad compressor will shoot a new relay. The best way to figure which component is at fault is by replacing the start relay. If the compressor is at fault, the new relay will either never start the compressor, or it will only last a day or so. If it is the relay at fault, the problem is solved. If it isn't, considering the cost of a sealed system repair by a certified technician, you may want to consider a new unit.

Answer Hello Troy. You will need to use an ice pick or pick tool and go inside the relay where the wires are connected and press down on the little clip made onto the terminal of the wire. This releases the wire for removal.

Answer Hello Frank. If you replace the relay/overload 5304468029, and the compressor still is not running, you will need to replace the compressor on the unit. Sometimes, the compressors will test good, but be locked up, and need to be replaced. It sounds like you are dealing with a bad compressor here.

Answer Hello Missy, First check for a crimped water line or low water pressure to the unit. If none is found, replace the water inlet valve 242252603.

Answer Hello Debbie. Check and see if the compressor is clicking on the back of the unit. If not, and unit is just dead, then the defrost timer 5303918476 will need to be replaced in the unit. Hope this helps.
