This Frigidaire was smelling like it was on fire and I removed the small cardboard panel on the back of the unit and the Relay on the side of the Compressor was smoking bad . Which part is bad the Relay or the Run Capacitor or both?

The fresh food and freezer are not cooling. The fan comes on immediately but I'm not hearing any noise from the compressor. The pins on the compressor are testing properly and the overload relay does spike then open. Much like everyone else in the forum except I am not getting any click or buzz from the compressor when powered up. does this point more to start relay or compressor? Thanks.

I have read several Q&A's about my problem with our Frigidaire fridge. My symptoms seem to point to the starter reply (AP4367255). My first question is this: The picture for this part on your site doesn't show the red and blue wires coming out of relay. How do I get the existing wires to unplug from my relay to be used with new replay? Or was the wires omitted from picture for some reason? I have tried pulling the wires out with some force which didn't work. I can use more force but don't want to damage the wires if they can be reused for new relay. Is there some jedi or vulcan position that can be used to unleash the connection? Thanks

Hi, I am struggling to get the unit working; I ordered the starter relay- as fan is functioning fine- The relay ordered was 218721119 The one that I received was 241524605. I have been told this is the direct replacement? I installed and got click and buzzing noise from the compressor. I check the compressor for circuits shorts and check the winding as recommended in the forum all check out OK. What am I missing? Thank for your help. Frank

Having problems with freezer on side by side. Every morning we get up and things are defrosted, then about 2 pm it starts to make ice again and everything freezes. It is like it is stuck in defrost cycle for too long. We cleaned the coils and everything in back and underneath yesterday. Woke up this morning to the same problem, everything thawing. What needs replacing?
