Rental Oven: I noticed the door gasket is on the sides and top - doesn't go around the bottom. Since this is a rental, I don't know if someone cut the bottom portion off. The cut looks like a clean manufactured cut. Is this partial gasket correct? Or does it go all around the door?

Have Frigidaire stove/oven and the heat from the oven is escaping causing the knobs on the top front as well as the panel to be very hot during cooking. Seems that cooking time is extended do to loss of heat. Is seal replacement on the oven door a cureall? I haven't inspected the current seal, so I can't say if it is cracked or in poor shape. The oven is in my rental house and I only want to make one trip. Does the seal normally wear out in a range this old? Any other suggestions for escaping heat from the oven?...Thanks
