I get oily stains on clothes. I also see oily deposits floating in water when I fill with water (without clothes) and let it agitate. When I check below the tub I don't see any stains or indications the tub is leaking any by the transmission. Would this be a leaking seal allowing oil into the tub?

Latest Questions

I'm installing Part Number AP2142342. Three questions: 1. Do I use any lubricant on the seal or trunnion when reinstalling? I plan on cleaning all the parts with white vinegar and a tooth brush. 2. How do you know how far to put the trunnion back down on the shaft when reintalling? 3. Do I really need new bolts to put the trunnion back on? If so, should I use locktite?

i have full size Gibson stack able last few times i used noticed it was louder than usual.it fills with water agitates sucks out water DOES NOT SPIN!I took out the screws on the little brackets unplugged some wires only to find that if i took out the screws on each side in the front (there is one screw on each side in the front)then the top lid and cover lifted right off.so the dryer just sitting there.i got the bolt out of the top of agitator(only after using a penetrating spray)removed agitator then i thought drive block but not sure it had half inch bolts like half moon around spindle with a flat piece on the back that the half in bolts pulled tight up to or on the spindle not really sure where to go from here. i did however find 4 small screws under agitator and on the inside of agitator a bunch of lint .i I was amazed at what i saw under the agitator youd think it would be clean.Down on the bottom side i noticed about a quarter of a inch looked like someone took a knife and made a slice in agitator actually had to use needle nose pliers to remove lint out of cut Any and i mean any help greatly appreciated have nice day
