How does the spring go in? I took it off but now i can't get it back on properly.

Answer Hello Eric. The manufacture does not offer step by step instructions for this repair. One end of the spring goes behind the flap and the other makes contact on the dispenser. This causes tension for the flap to stay closed. Hope this helps.
