Our dishwasher is dead. We have 120v power to the unit. No indicator lites are present at any button on the console assy. The trouble shooting chart says to replace the console assy. How can I be certain it is not the control board?

Answer Hello Steve. Test and see if there is 120 volts at the control board on the unit. If so, it sounds like the control board is bad and will need to be replaced on the unit.

Our dishwasher won't turn on at all. It's like it's dead. We checked the breaker and made sure it is plugged in. What do you think we should get to try to fix it?

Answer Hello Jami. Test for power to the control board. If there is power there and the unit does not work, you will need to order the control board 154757001 for the unit. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. We have dishwasher model # PLD4555RFC2. Switched off breaker & in PF mode the start/cancel button cleared the display. Then pressed rinse only & the #40 displayed with no other function. Pressed start/cancel again & #28 displayed. Then no other buttons responded after that when pressed. In about 5 minutes, error clean S displayed again. Would you recommend replacing the control panel or module? Eagerly awaiting your response as the sink is filling up.... Much appreciated!

Answer Hi Matthew. Look in behind the inner door panel just below the control board to find the supplied tech. sheet. This will explain how to advance the unit into a diagnostic mode which in turn shows fault codes. Use a volt meter part # TJMA-DM1 to trace the circuit to find the issue. If the unit is overloaded with suds then the drain pump will cavitate and overheat drawing excessive amps. Use cold water to fill the tub to a normal fill level (below the heater brackets) and then place the unit into a drain over and over to clear it and possibly the interfering code. Make sure the junction box wires are tight. Thank you.

My console looks the same as the parts drawing which is different than the photo. The console in the photo does not have sides to it. How does the inner door liner attach on the sides?

When I touch the console panel assembly board to select either the Ultimate scrub or speed clean mode the mode selected fails to light up or operate. All other wash modes going from left to right on the console assy can be selected and work. Do you think the control console assembly is defective? This is your Part Number: AP4297630.
