Hello, I noticed that the ice in my ice maker was slowly melting. After further inspection, I realized that the temperature in both the refrigerator and freezer was too high, and was slowly rising. I removed the back panel in the freezer to access the evaporator fan motor, and found the fan to be functioning properly. The evaporator is cold, but not frozen. I have removed the starter device and run capacitor. The starter device is not rattling, and the capacitor doesn't look, or smell, burned. Any advice would be appreciated. Thank You! Donnie

FRIGIDAIRE side by side. Heated up inside and defrosted both freezer and refrigerator. Started trouble shooting found the flap door to cool refrigerator not functioning so removed all screws on housing pulled away from side of refrigerator and refrigerator got cold. After about 12 hours unit heated up again defrosting everything. Pulled plug and plugged back in and started cooling it works for about 12 hours or so at a time then heats up.
