Hello Our refrigerator was making an intermittent buzzing noise that would last for about 30 Seconds very few minutes. Then it stopped cooling. We unplugged it and when we plugged it back in the motor started for a minute then stopped again. Based on my research I thought it was the starter overlay that needed to be replaced, but when I took it off, it did not rattle as others indicted it would. Could it still be bad even if it does not rattle? Thanks!

I'm replacing a starter kit. ( 5304491941 ) looks different that the old one, I'm not sure were the red and blue wires go on the new one. The old starter has the wires on the bottom (red on top, blue on bottom ) and the capacitor plugs in on the top. The new starter has the capacitor on the bottom, the wires go on the top, the instruction doesn't tell what wire goes where

The unit is sealed so looking for debris coming out does not sound reasonable. How can I test the starter with a VOM or power?

I'm trying to salvage a misdiagnosed refrigerator. The repair guy said our compressor was shot and left with the components that plug on to the compressor. I did a direct test on the compressor and it works fine. Now I want to get the parts to fix it and need some guidance. The starter kit on your web site lists starter kit AP5736381 with no picture. Does this unit plug onto the compressor and I can just plug the power connection from the relay into it, or do I need to get the capacitor as well?
