I ordered your Frigidaire Starter Kit and wired it up to the compressor. I believe I did it right with Neutral blue wire connected to bottom wire of harness and Red live feed wore to top wire of relay harness. The old set up was a supco 3 -1 starter that stopped working. I am just getting a hard click every so often (relay engaging). I check the compressor terminals for OHMs readings and they seem to match up with what I have read is what you want to see. I have lights in the fridge and condenser fan is running with air going into freezer and fridge portion. I am wondering what else I can check to confirm it is a bad compressor and not something else like the defrost timer. I seem to understand that if the defrost timer is stuck that the condenser fan would not be on. Help!!

I replaced the starter about three months ago because it was buzzing every so many seconds and would not cool. It has been working fine for three months and now it is doing the same thing again. Should I try another starter or is there something else wrong.

My compressor starter went bad and repair shop gave me a starter kit - part 5304491941. Your system says it is not compatible with my fridge - model frs26zrf. I am confused. Can you tell me if this starter kit is compatible with my fridge? Thanks.

Latest Questions

Hi there. After a power outage, fridge stopped cooling. Fans were coming on and air was blowing, but the compressor wouldn't kick in. Just a clicking noise every little bit. The relay seeming to be a common answer, I pulled it and checked for a rattle. Not only was it rattling but little pieces were falling out, so I found the starter kit for the model here and ordered it. Arrived Today (kudos on the extremely fast shipping). Wired up the new relay and put everything back together, but now only the light works. No compressor kicking on, no fans, just the light. Pulled and reseated everything several times. Nada. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance.

Hello Our refrigerator was making an intermittent buzzing noise that would last for about 30 Seconds very few minutes. Then it stopped cooling. We unplugged it and when we plugged it back in the motor started for a minute then stopped again. Based on my research I thought it was the starter overlay that needed to be replaced, but when I took it off, it did not rattle as others indicted it would. Could it still be bad even if it does not rattle? Thanks!

I'm replacing a starter kit. ( 5304491941 ) looks different that the old one, I'm not sure were the red and blue wires go on the new one. The old starter has the wires on the bottom (red on top, blue on bottom ) and the capacitor plugs in on the top. The new starter has the capacitor on the bottom, the wires go on the top, the instruction doesn't tell what wire goes where
