We hooked up a generator after being without power for 2 days. The generator is large yet to run the refrigerator. The refrigerator ran but not thinking my mom cleaned it out with the refrig running for 15 minutes or so. The refrigerator stopped working and won't turn back on. Do you know what might be causing this problem? It was running fine prior to the power outage and generator.

After experiencing a strong burning odor, I removed the starter/overload assembly and found that the plastic was melted where the three compressor pins plug into the assembly. I removed the condensor (part number 216236200), which appears okay. But I don't see any way to remove the assembly from the two wires (one red, the other white) which power the assembly. Maybe the terminals have been melted beyond recognition. Can I just cut the wires next to the assembly body and, if so, will I be able to connect them to the new assembly?

Recently my refrigerator was down and it wasn't getting cold in either compartments and as a result the fridge started to get hot. I called a technician he came checked the fridge and he said the relay was burnt-out which he showed me. He also checked the gas as I had thought it was out but it wasn't. He then change the relay and put in one and then left so I waited for a while to see if it would get cold and it hasn't instead it's hot and I heard a click sound. So I plugged it out, Any sugguestion as to why this has happened?

When it cycles, it makes a buzzing sound from the starter/overload-capacitor area. Other than the sound, it runs fine. Thanks. Peter
