Is a working but slightly warped "old style" 8 inch electric coil monotube surface burner element fixable? Can it be reheated, flattened and or rebent back to shape to better contact the bottom of the cooking pot or pan on all coils? It warped in a small fire starting from oil spill on the coil...; do I have other alternatives? Manufacturers part No. is 5306590805.

Answer Hello Eamon, Unfortunately we would not recommend the fixing of coils but to replace them. Unforseenable damage can be done by trying to repair the coil and it is not recommended.

I have a wonderful old Frigidaire range that has broken/separated wires leading to the elements. In years of lifting and closing the elements, the wires have become separated from the elements (parts AP2591886 and AP2591887 which I found in your "not available " section.) I believe the elements ARE functional but the wires will no longer hold in the receptacles on them. I have not found the proper wires for repairs on your website. Can you suggest alternative wiring setup that would function and be safe? Thank you so much.

Answer HI Cynthia. This receptacle has not been on the market for approx. 25+ yrs. You can use a insulted female connector to properly crimp on the wires and carefully make sure they are tight and all the way pushed on. Make sure you do not crack the diver insulator in between each element terminal so they do not short the 240 vac. The 1/4 " connector part # is TJMA02589-1. The 3/16 " Connector is part # TJMA03018-1.

Answer Hello Robert! The 6" element is part number 5306590804 and the 8" element is part number 5306590805. Unfortunately, these have been discontinued with no further replacements or cross references available from the manufacture. We are unaware of any other available sources. Sorry about that!
