If the burners go straight to "high," The switch is most likely the problem. Can you tell me which switch I need to order for the front burners (large, 8", single)? I believe it is part number 5303935086. I just want to be sure of the part before I order. Thank you

Both large burners on the front are cooking too hot. even on low, it seems to be on "high." Rear burners seem to be fine. I bought this stove used. This is the first time I cooked on it. The lady I bought it from had a "spark" while using the self-cleaning feature. Had Sears repair come replace the control panel. She replaced it due to having to wait for it to be fixed. When we got it here, we noticed the power cord had burned a leg completely through. This is the first time it has been used since the repair. I believe it is the switches, but want to make sure before ordering parts. I replaced kenmore that the oven overheated - runaway temps. It is also a 790 model. The switches may work from it. Just checking to see if there may be another issue. I am in the process of selling my home, I don't want to either burn it down before I get it sold, or leave the new owners with a defective stove. Thanks

I have a Kenmore 790-92683301. The left front burner serves as a burner and a simmer. When I turn on the burner it does not heat up but when I press the simmer button it heats up. Is this the switch and if so which one do I need. Thank you.

Latest Questions

The left rear burner seem to be working but the indicator light that says burner is on stays lit even after the burner is off and the surface is cold to the touch. What could be the problem, how could I check to see what the problem is and what part would I need? Thanks
