What causes the small burner on a dual element not to work?
Is it the switch or heating element?
Pat
Answer Hello Pat. If there is power coming from the switch to the element, replace the element. If there is no power, replace the switch. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html
Is this switch used for the dual element selection (same as Frigidaire part number PS438350 according to their website)? If not, is there a switch available that will replace this switch? Thanks, Ken.
Ken E. for Model Number FEF369CGS
Answer Hello Ken! No, the switch part number 316448701 is not the dual element switch listed for your FEF369CGS* model. You will use rocker switch part number 316086901, however this has been discontinued with no further replacements available. For the dual element switch use part number 316049800. Thanks!
