I was told this is the part I needed. Element light stays on and element is still hot with knob in off position. Also is it hard to put in ?

Answer Sam, Which indicator light is staying on, If it is the burner indicator light, you would most likely have an issue with the burner switch/potentiometer 316441804 . If it's the hot surface indicator light, you'd havve an issue with the temperature sensor on the burner itself 318198930. I doubt the switch you're referring to has anything to do with your complaint. Thanks.
