How do I change the door light switch. This does not seem to be an easy process. Also, I will need to purchase one.

Answer Hello Dh. You will need to uninstall the wall oven and remove the side panel and then remove the switch from the unit. Make sure you have the power turned off when you uninstall the wall oven and replace the switch. There is no easy way to tell you how to do the repair on the unit.

Broiler element works fine but oven element will not heat up. I looked at diagrams but could not find just the bottom element. The part number was 87. Is this a normal problem with this model or am I looking in the wrong direction?

Answer Hello Todd, you could have a failed bake element 318255006 but if that checks out and the wiring appears okay, it could be the oven control 318010700 or relay 318111501. Hope this helps!

Answer Lisa, the oven light rocker switch is part number 316448700. Unfortunately, the oven door light switch 316027701 has been discontinued with no further replacements or cross references available and our company is unaware of any other available sources. Sorry about that!

The door switch (part number 12) on the lower oven has melted along with the connector (socket) the switch plugs into. I have ordered and received the door switch, but I need to obtain the connector (socket) the switch plugs into. I would also like to obtain the wiring harness that goes to the connector for switch. Do you have a part number for the connector and the wiring harness? Thanks

Answer Hi Mike. Parts breakdown is kind of hard to see. On the switch there are 2 metal tabs that will lock the switch in place once it is pushed into the body. The violet is the Common switch connection. Blk is on "N/C". Brown is the "N/O" . You need to take the new switch to the local hardware and get insulated connectors that match the terminal blade width of the switch. This way you can get the locking tab type that access the hole in the middle of the terminals. They can be 3/16" wide or up to 5/16". The wiring harness is no longer available. You will find a wiring diagram folded in the control area or the clock area. Thank You.

Came home from work today and found the oven light wouldn't go off. Checked the door switches and found the bottom door switch was shorting out and hot. The plastic post had melted. When I pulled on the post, the switch broke and apparently one of the wires came loose and touched the metal frame of the oven and began arcing. After a few seconds the arcing stopped and I saw a small fire inside the walls of the oven. The insulation had caught on fire. I extinguished the fire and had my son kill the breaker. After retrieving the 3 wires that went to the switch and isolating them with electrical tape to prevent accidental contact, I re-energized the breaker and found that there were no lights on the control panel. I removed the oven and began to disassemble the back of the oven to inspect the potential cause of the loss of control lights. I noticed a circuit board that went to the control panel and two relay boards. I am assuming the problem with is with one of those three items. Any suggestions on how to check which one it is, if any?? Thanks

Answer Hello Mike. You will need to test for power coming into the relay boards 318022001 318022002 and going to the control board 318010501. If there is power at the control board, and it does not light up, you will need to replace the control board. Anytime there is a short to ground like that, it can cause all 3 board to be bad in the unit. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter.
