Water keeps running will not shut off would it be water switch and float.
Answer Hello Bear. If it runs without power, replace the valve on the unit. If there is power at the valve, replace the float switch.
How do you check the float?
Answer Hello Gary. If you test across both terminals, with the float down, it should read closed for continuity. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html
What is the function of the switch float
Answer Hello Tom! The float switch 154225501 is the primary part that sends the "shut-off" signal to the fill valve off when the water level has been reached. Hope this helps!
