My front right burner wont turn off all the time. You have to keep pushing down on the knob and turning it to off position over and over to finally get it to turn off. Sometimes even have to bang on it. Should I order a new Switch, Sm Surface Element pn# 318293824 and the 2 new mounting screws to replace to fix this problem?

Answer Hi Tami, yes it sounds like you need to replace your switch. If you need the switch for a large burner, order part# 318293825, for a small burner switch, order part# 318293824. Be sure to order 2 of the new mounting screws 5303323134 as your old screws may damage the new switch. Hope this helps!

Knobs from old part do not fit new part in the off position. Part is also larger than part taken off.
