Does the thermistor keep the dishwasher from changing cycles?
Dave for Model Number FDB1500LFQ2
Answer Hello Dave,
The thermistor can indeed prevent the unit from going through its' cycles. If the control doesn't see the thermistor satisfied, the control cannot advance. Be aware though, if the heating circuit has failed and the water cannot heat, the thermistor cannot be satisfied and the unit will not advance. Also, if the control circuit that receives the information sent by the thermistor fails, it also will not advance.
