Heating element stays on all the time. Heats up counter top. So far nothing inside looks melted and I have stopped using dishwasher. I have been reading and it looks as if there are multiple thermostats to keep this from happening so I am not sure why it can still happen.

When my washer is used in the heavy cycle it just keeps running. I have checked the High Limit thermostat and the Heating ring both have continuity. What should the continuity reading be on the Thermistor? It is not zeroing out like the high limit thermostat and the heat ring.
