The oven door does NOT open more than 90 degrees. As best that I can tell, the door seal compresses as it should. Is that AP4567284 the 'safety thermostat'??

Answer Glen, Yes 318003624 is the "safety" thermostat and is located on the rear section of the wall oven. The 318578506 is the cooling fan thermostat and is located in the fronmt area of the control assembly behind the control panel. It will be an "open" circuit at room temperature The safety thermosta should be a "closed" circuit at all times(hot or cold) Thanks
We have had this oven for 18 months and the first two times we self-cleaned under warrantee, it would not heat after cleaning. Time one - tech replaced AP4587839 fan & AP 4587847 fan temp. sensor. Time two - tech replaced the same two items plus AP4561202 oven temp. sensor. It has died again under extended warrantee after self-clean and the AP4587847 sensors that were removed in #1 & #2 have no continuity so I'm guessing it is crapo again. Both fans still work! I'm guessing that the AP4587847 sensor is bad again. What does the AP4567284 sensor control?

Answer Glen, There are a few things to check, before you replace the safety thermostat, again. Check the door seal and door position when fully opened. it should not be more than 90 dgrs , check and make sure the door seal is compressed all the way around when closed, Check and make sure there is a "solid" bottom panel below and above the oven. Proper air flow is very important, especially in the S/C cycle. Program a cycle and make sure the cooling fan does run. Make sure you "spot" clean any major "spill overs" or splatters on the walls. Thanks
is this the high temp stat?

Answer Jon, You didn't mention the issue with your oven. But I believe you'd be looking for the thermal switch / thermostat 318004900 . 318003624 and 318003606 are "safety thermostats, and control the voltage to the cooling fan and the fan speed control relay, to keep the control and interior components cool. Thanks and Good Luck
