After a self clean, my oven wouldn't heat up to 350. The repairman put in a whirlpool part and now the oven is overheating. What's your take on this?
Answer Hello Celia. If the part was a sensor 318562500, then it would not cause the unit to over heat. They read the same. You may want to check the control board out on the unit.
I would like to know the degree for the sensor? Thanks
The oven sensor should have a resistance reading of 1090 ohms at room temp.
This part will not last long when I replace it..... What will cause this part to go bad?
Answer Hello Erman. If the thermostat 318578506 continues to blow, the unit is overheating and there is an issue with the sensor or the cooling fan on the unit. You need to test the sensor and if it is good, check the cooling fans and make sure they are working. If both are good, then the control is bad on the unit.
