My washer dryer combo unit was working fine, then one day I heard a loud pop and all of a sudden the dryer turned off, when I checked it the timer, it was still on with 20 minutes to go, and no power. I checked the breaker box and it had kicked it off, so I flipped it back on and went and turn the dryer on, and still nothing, no lights or power to dryer, then I tried the washer and everything works in washer, but the dryer does nothing at all, what would cause this? Hope you can help me because I currently cannot afford to buy another washer and dryer right now.
Answer Hello Robin,
This sounds like either the thermal fuse 134120900 has blown, or the dryer cord lost connection at the terminal block. I would pull the unit out and check the receptacle, cord and terminal block. If you have a test meter, you can test to see if 240Vac is still to the unit. If not, you may have to call an electrician. If so, you will have to probably open the unit and test the components until you find the component at fault. Most times, if a loud audible pop is heard, you will be able to identify the component at fault as there is normally a burned area around where the short occurred.
My dryer does not dry my clothes all the way .I have to run it again. I checked and replaced the drier hose because it was crushed a little, but still same trouble.
Answer Hello Vladimir. You will need to check the air duct assembly and the blower wheel 131476300 for blockages and make sure the wheel is not loose. It sounds like the air is not moving correctly in the unit. This will cause long dry times in a dryer. Hope this helps.
