My 6 year old washer just developed a problem. It will not fill with water but instead makes a sort of humming or buzzing sound and the door lock light comes on. The drum turns fine and it will just will not fill up with water.

My washer suddenly stopped going through the cycles of wash. It would do what it supposed to do for a bit with wherever I set the knob and pulled out, so fill up and tumble a few times then stop. Light on indicating door is locked but nothing. If I turn the knob it would resume for a bit and stop again shortly after. I'm also fairly sure that when I put it to spin it would just spin for a long time, sometimes seeming not as fast as normal to me and I got a bit worried so turned the knob to get it to stop. I replaced the timer thinking it was the problem and also after having a technician look at it to confirm but it is still doing the same thing. Like when you'd normally hear the timer clicking through it does not. Did I get a bogus timer or is there something else I'm missing to check?

I moved my stackable and hooked it up. I test ran the drier and washer and every thing seem fine except I did not allow the washer to cycle through before I stoped it. I set the unit to drain and or spin and nothing happened. I then removed all the water, unplugged the unit, flipped the breaker and tried to start the washer up. Nothing goes with the washer. Drier is fine. Is it the timer?

the timer went out on my washer unit, it is the stacked ones, anyway i had a repair man to come and fix it, after a week it the washer would not spin out unless you pushed in on the front panel, now the only way it will spin out the clothes is when the dryer is running. i called the store's repairman and they told me i would have to pay for another timer plus labor. can you help me
