I have lost the .6 second pause on the pots and pan and the normal cycles but not the short cycle. Is there any adjustments. If I hold the door and shut the pump down with the door opener for the .6 seconds it goes into the upper wash. I only have the upper wash in the short cycle. Just a note. I am a long time customer and give your sight to every one I know.
Answer Hi Ed. Depress the selector switches one at a time to make sure they are not caught in a mid-position, not allowing proper functions. Switch part # 154215101. Has the timer been rattling or buzzing? Timer part # 154294401. The timer on your model directs all motor and pump or heating functions. There is a wiring diagram in the lower kick plate or by the controls. But from the sounds of all of it, it is time for a new timer. Use a wet shop vac to pick up water and debris. Remove all racks and start with the wash arms and clean under the sink with a pick tool. Dislodge all water jets of debris. Start at the top of the sump inside the tub, disassembling the top filter plate and cleaning as you go. Lay out the parts cleaned systematically so you know how to reassemble them. Work yourself down to the chopper blade to insure proper cleaning and inspection of any broken or worn out parts. This time well spent will enhance performance levels tremendously. Use dishwasher magic part # TJ104 monthly to keep performance levels up to par. Thank You.
How can I replace the timer of frigidaire modal #MDB121 ?
Answer Hi San. Remove the power. Then remove the top surrounding screws that are connected to the back of the control housing. This should allow you to access the back area of the timer when this housing is loose. You may need to remove all the inner panel screws to get the control housing screws loose. Then you remove the front side 2- inner screws behind the knob. Then replace the timer connector exactly as they were on the original one. They have notches on the side of the timer body that will align one way only. Timer part # 154294401. Thank You.
