I've recently tore my washer apart because it wasnt working at all. I did some testing on it and couldnt find anything that was bad. Now i have put it back together and tried it, and it filled with water but thats it. I sit out there and waited for it and it seemed the timer wasn't moving after it filled with water. I marked it with a marker and let it go for like 10 mins and it didn't move. Is this a timer issue? Thanks
With the unit filling with water but nothing else, no noise from the unit, the issue would most likely be the lid switch rather than a timer issue. You will want to check the lid switch for continuity with the lid closed. If there is no continuity then the issue would be a faulty switch which would need to be replaced. Also with this type of lid switch you will want to make sure that the arm from the hinge is making contact with the switch properly. The part number for the lid switch is 8318084.
