gas dryer does not stop when I open the door during the cyle - light does come on though. At the end of the cyle the dryer stops as expected. other functions appear to be as normal. Repairman recommended to replace the timer, and not t,o run it as the gas maybe staying on, but due to age of dryer, 12 yrs, he suggested I just buy new. This dryer is a perfect fit for my older home doorway and stairwell size and I have not found a manufacturer who has the correct size. Do you agee with the diagnosis to replace the timer? thank you

Problem with the dryer timer assembly. The dryer works when you set a specific time, however it does not advance when you turn it to the automatic drying cycle. the clothers will dry but the time does not advance and stays stationary, What do you feel the problem is?

My dryer will not start. The lights inside is on when the door is open. I checked the circuit bracer it's on. My timer used to make clicking when I used to turn it but now it's just spins. Does that means I have a bad timer?

My dryer has stopped getting hot. On Sunday, I used air dry and the timer didn't appear to be working . It just stayed on 20 minutes for about an hour. When I figured it out, I turned it to off. However, now it appears that no matter what I use (timed heat dryer, auto dry, etc.) it is air drying. Do you think the timer could be broken?
