Can I replace this part through the front control panel or do I need to remove the top of the washer. The dryer is on top and I don't want to take it off if its not necessary. Thanks, Bob

Answer Hello Bob. Must go through the top to remove the timer 134014700. Disconnect the power. Remove the main top, timer knob, and bezel. Remove the two screws securing the timer to the mounting plate. Pull the timer back and disconnect the plugs. Install new timer.
The door will lock, fill with water. Will not wash or spin, drains fine. The odd thing is that the timer will move very fast?

Answer Hello Bob. Test for power coming to the motor assembly. If there is no power there, during the wash or spin cycle, you will need to replace the timer 134014700 on the unit. Hope this helps.
