Hi, Can I lubricate the one way bearing on the transmission or the the transmission itself? There is noise it that bearing. Can I pull it off?
Answer Hello Joachim,
The bearing at the base of the transmission is a sealed bearing and lubrication will not silence it. You can also not pull it from the base of the transmission because the manufacturer made it on the transmission assembly. If you pull it off you will damage it and the transmission housing.
After spin cycle, when the drum is slowing down, it is making a very loud THUMP, THUMP,THUMP,,,,,,,,, till it stops spinning.
The washer seems to be operating fine other than the noise.
But whatever it is needs to be fixed, before it breaks something else.
If it is the transmission, does the transmission come with all the
seals that are needed, or do I need to purchase the seals
Answer Bruce, You'll need to check the drive belt 134511600 for burnt or glazed spots, idler pulley and springs 131862900and transmission puley 131498301 for a loose bolt. If alls OK, you'll need to remove the tubs and check for a loose Trunnion 131545101 or trunnion plate 137107000 and bolts. Otherwise the issue will be in the transmission 134736400 (thats the more likly issue).
