When I pulled the agitator off to clean under it I ran the machine to get the water out. When it stopped I noticed a small bearing and spring where do they go before I put the agitator back on.

Hi, We found that oil was leaking into the tub from underneath the agitator and staining our clothes. I took off the agitator, and inner and outer tubs. The tube seal at the bottom of the transmission seems fine, it looks like the oil is coming from inside the transmission shaft through the top directly under the agitator hub. The seal under the hub seems to be dry rotted. The diagram looks like it has a seal and washer under the hub but i only see an inner seal. 1) Does that sound like the right seal to replace? 2) Can we replace just that seal or should we also replace the tube seal at the same time? 3)Should we be worried about oil level in transmission? Thank you!

After spin cycle, when the drum is slowing down, it is making a very loud THUMP, THUMP,THUMP,,,,,,,,, till it stops spinning. The washer seems to be operating fine other than the noise. But whatever it is needs to be fixed, before it breaks something else. If it is the transmission, does the transmission come with all the seals that are needed, or do I need to purchase the seals separately ? Thank You Bruce

The belt on our this washer burnt up as a result of the motor pulley turning but not the transmission (Xmsn) pulley. I replaced the belt and the same issue exists- motor pulley turns but the belt does not. Without power applied, I can turn the Xmsn in a single direction and can turn the xmsn pulley in the opposite direction but the pulley and xmsn will not trun in the other direction. It is as if it is locked to prevent rotation in that direction. What part has failed?

This is a Frigidaire laundry center. It has something of a hum, coming from the motor. It also isn't agitating properly, but if I tighten down the bolt that holds the agitator on the transmission shaft it does fine. Problem is, it doesn't stay tightened. I don't want to locktite it down if there's something else going on, but I am at a loss. There's only the hub that goes on the transmission shaft, the bolt, the agitator, and a gasket for the top of the bolt. The tub moves freely counter clockwise, won't go clockwise. The agitator goes freely in both directions. Fills, drains and spins fine. Belt seems fine, although I would change it out if I ended up taking it apart down there... Any help is greatly appreciated!
