Hi, We live with dogs and cats. Recently we washed several blankets noting quite a bit of animal hair on normal clothing loads afterward. I encounter no issue with noise or draining. Does this mean that the outer splash tub retains some animal hair? If so how may I clean it? If not the outer splash tub, then what else could cause this? Regards.
Answer Federico, Animal hair is one of the more difficult substances to remove from a washing machine. The easiest way to remove most of the hair would be to run the washer with plain hot water and no detergent, no additives. You may want to add a cup of bleach to the water. The alternative is to dismantle the washer and clean out all the hair by hand. It usually takes 2 or 3 wash cycles to remove all the hair.
Can these plastic tubs be repaired, very small hole?
Answer Hello Robert! No, if the tub has a hole, it will need to be replaced. The replacement part number is 131557201. Thanks!
