Answer Hello Jim, The upper hinge assembly is the door closer. They call it the upper refrigerator door hinge closer 218215241. The freezer door hinge 218215244 is the exact opposite but operates the same way. This thing is spring loaded so do please be careful. The hinge assembly pulls straight up out of the cabinet after removing the three screws. Be aware the door will still open with the hinge off and it can fall and hurt someone.
