If the problem is the valve and I order a new one, does it come with the fittings that will work with my existing hoses or will this be an additional part I will need to order along with the valve?

Water leaks (sprays) from compression fitting on the water inlet valve at the most-right connector in the first photo above. when I use the door water dispenser and possibly when the ice tray fills. I have tried tightning the nut on the end of the hose, but that didn't help. The hose end looks alright and there doesn't appear to be any cracks in the valve either. How do I determine if it is the hose, connector or valve that is the issue? Which direction does water flow through this ports on this valve? My valve has threads and the hoses have nuts, how do the fittings on the new valve work?

Water runs out of icemaker. Would that be from water valve not shuting off at the right time, and causing it to run over?

Latest Questions

Hi, I have this refrigerator that I bought used without warranty. Everything looked great and all seemed well until I went to hook up water and it was pouring out onto the floor. It was kept outside for a time so perhaps the water froze and busted the water valves. Anyway, I disconnected the water for a while until I ordered the new water valves. All the valves came as one piece. I installed the new valves, matching up the color coded hoses and electrical connectors. But no water comes into the ice maker, or out of the water dispenser. I took the filter cup and filter in and out and played with that a few times but never saw water coming out there. I checked continuity on the valve connectors and all seems good. Also I reversed the connection of the diodes to the water valves with no result. There is plenty of water pressure on the supply line. What is my likely problem and where should I start. Sorry for the novel :)

Changed water inlet valve. After replacing, water dispenser works but no water is going to icemaker.

I have no water coming from my door dispenser. I have no water filling the ice maker tray. I am believing the water valve has failed. I say this because: I have.. 1. Verified I have good water flow from the supply line to the water valve. 2. I have replaced the filter with a new filter. 3. When I press in the water dispenser lever on the door, I hear it trying to "call" for water. 4. When the ice maker cycles, I here the dispenser calling for water for about 7-9 seconds...but no water flows.(Note: If I manually fill the ice tray, it will drop the ice, nicely formed and cycle through, again "calling" for water but none comes.) It seems like I need a new valve, part # 240531101 Question: Does my troubleshooting and solution seem on track?
