My stove top burners work. So does my broiler in the oven, but the oven bake burner does not. The ignitor gets red hot, but it seems there is no gas coming into the burner element for the oven. What part do you think it may be?

Answer Hello Brian. I think the ignitor 316489403 is probably bad. You see, the ignitor not only has to get red, but then it has to get even hotter. It has to get almost white hot. Until the time it gets this hot, there isn't enough current flowing in the circuit to open the safety valve. Not only is it the most common part to fail, but it is also exposed to the most heat, (as you know electronics number one enemy is heat). There is the possibility that the safety valve 316404901 has failed, but those only fail once in a very great while. I hope this helped you! Have a great day!
