Answer Hello Tim. Remove the screws in the bottom of the front panel and remove the panel from the washer. Make sure the power is disconnected. Next, remove the screws and raise the top of the washer. Make sure the fill hoses are off of the old valve. Access the valve and remove the screw securing the valve and the hose on the valve and the wires. Install the new water valve 134211400.
The water doesn't drain, it stays in the washing machine.

I would check the drain pump 137221600. If you have voltage to it and it doesn't hum, you need to replace the pump. If it does hum, you need to remove the hose that goes from the tub to the pump and make sure there are no foreign objects in the pump or the hose leading to it. Be careful at this point as when you remove the hose, if water is in the unit it will all come out, and fast. If there is nothing in there and the pump seems to run, it is possible that the pumps impeller has separated from the pump motor shaft. In this case the pump will also need to be replaced. Basically, if voltage gets to the pump and there is no clog or foreign item keeping the pump from spinning, the pump has failed and requires replacement.
