Hello , recently my Frigidaire top / bottom ice maker stopped making ice, I ran the cycle test by raising the fins in the maker and then hand turned the gear on the front. While the ice maker stated working again, and the ice is the correct size.. it takes literally days to make a half tray of ice. I also checked the tube from the water valve to inside the freezer and is seems not blocked. I am getting plenty of water flow when I take the water line off the water valve. So my question is: if the ice maker is working but making ice hyper-slowly, would it be a clogged or failing water valve. Thanks for any help

Replaced Valve-Water Part Number: AP5671756 Made by: Frigidaire Old ice maker water valve sprung a leak. Replace with new part worked at first but Ice was hollow. Now does not make any ice. Old valve had screw on water inlet new valve has just the hole. I cut the incoming water line and put it in the hole. Why is there now no water flowing?

My icemaker is not working. I jumped out T to H and the cycle ran. I jumped out V and L and there was no water so I replaced the water valve. The unit was running and made ice all night. Now the unit has not ice. I repeated the previous steps and T to H runs the cycle, V to L the water runs but the unit would not harvest ice. Model is 18 months old. I am thinking thermostat or should I replace it or replace the icemaker unit.

I just replaced a water valve on my refrigerator, (the valve that controls water supply to the ice maker) part number 242252603 (AP5671756) today. As soon as I turned the water pressure on the valve started humming loudly and the water ran straight through it, filling the ice cube catch tray with water. I had to shut the water supply off or the thing would have continued to flow. The valve is a simple remove and replace job that should only take a few minutes. Any ideas on why the valve would be sticking open or is the valve defective? I've replace this same style valve before and never had this problem.

The ice maker makes ice when I pour water into the cube "tray", I have not been hearing the water valve kick on or off to fill the tray so I am assuming the Water Fill valve is bad. This refrigerator came with an ice maker when we bought i but I believe the dealer installed it. Since it is not easy to get the refrigerator out to see the back I thought I would ask if the fill valve is mounted on the back of the refrigerator? Is my logic that it is probably the fill valve sound?
