Like most people I'm having trouble removing the old vane. I removed the 1 screw, and the vane moves slightly along the long axis. But I cannot get the tabs to release from the drum. Is the general procedure to squeeze the vane enough to release? Or do you use a tool, line a thin blade screwdriver to push the tabs enough to release? I tried both methods with no luck.

I have taken out screw that holds in the washer vane and tried sliding it forward but it will not move. My vane only has the small holes on top so I don't know which one has the tab under it to loosen the vane. Any ideas as to what to do?

Hi, one of the vanes on my washer broke. I am ordering a replacement now. Is it ok to run a couple loads of laundry in the washer with one vane missing? Of course it waited to break until I had a bunch of clothes to wash :)
