The hooks that hold one the vanes in our washer broke and it wouldn't stay attached. We just ordered a replacement here. Is it bad to use it in the meantime without a vane while we wait for it to arrive? Also is it fairly easy to pop the new one in?
Answer Hello J.L.,
It isn't a real good idea to use the unit with a baffle missing since it can catch material and damage clothing. Installing the new one can be done in two minutes with only a screwdriver. You will also need the screw 131302800 that holds the baffle in its' installed position.
I have a dime that somehow got underneath one of the vanes in the drum and rattles around at slow speeds. Is there an easy way to take the vane off and remove the dime?
Answer Hello Mip. No, you have to separate the tub halves to remove the vanes. However, try slowly turning the inner basket back and forth by hand and see if you can get the edge of the dime to slide out. If so, you can use a ice pick or pick tool to help pull it all the way out of the vane 134361602. Hope this helps.
