I have a frigidaire dryer. The unit has power, the drum rotates and timer works. The heating element does not function, it just blows cold air. Is there a heat detecting fuse for the heating element?

This unit would have a thermal fuse that would cause heating element to not function. You would also want to check your venting from the blower wheel all the way to the outside of unit to ensure it is clean and not clogged up. We will need your model number to help you with this.
