Why has the vane melted from the inside at the corner away from the door? I have not even had this a year and it melting from the inside causing a big absess. It is a sears product-si that why? Does everthing they make suck?

Answer Hi Wayne. The closest model # we have listed has another #8 beside the middle # 8. There really has to be a vent restriction in order to get the heating element to get cherry red hot. Clear all of it and make sure there are no kinks as you push it back. Make sure the outside vent hood and cap assy. needs to open and close properly as the lint will get in the hinges and allow it to stay open. This in turn allows the night air and rain moisture to creep back in the vent and collect at the lowest point (sags). This is where the lint will collect and then your dryer heat backs up into the dryer. It will get the normal heater from white color to a red hot color. This will over heat the rear bearing and dry out the grease in the bearing cup. It will radiate inward and melt the vane part # 5303201200. Immediately you need to clean the vent restriction before any fire can occur. Thank You.
