Frigidaire range fef352aud - Why do the clock and indicator lights works but the elements in the oven and stovetop have no heat?
Answer Hello Sasha,
The clock is run by 120Vac. The elements are run with 240Vac. If the entire unit is not heating, you have a power supply problem. The wiring splits at the terminal block where the power cord connects to the stove. You have either a bad terminal block, a bad receptacle, or a bad breaker/home wiring. looking at the terminal block will tell you if that is the issue. If it is ok, check the prongs on the cord for burned spots. This would be the indicvation of a loose/bad receptacle. If these are good, time to check the output from the breaker.
The burners work on top and the broiler. When you turn oven on you can see orange light but will not get hot enough to start the oven. I have had the igniter replaced before.
Answer Hello Meeska,
You should check the current draw on the bake ignitor. It should read from 3.2 to 3.6 amps. This can be done with a clamp on amp meter TJCL1100 by clamping the meter onto one of the ignitor wires. If the current draw is below the specified amount, the ignitor will require replacement to restore normal operation.
