When replacing inlet water valve, how do you remove hoses/tubing from old valve's compression fittings.
Answer Ralph, Your original fill valve probably had the compression fittings and nuts. The replacement valve 242252702 has John Guess compression fittings. As you remove each tube, slide the compression nut back a little, and cut the tube end off with a razor blade or very sharp knife, remove any burrs or uneven ends and insert the tube into the opening of the inlet valve. There is a video attached to the attached part number, that'll be a lot more helpful.
