The water line for the water dispenser (GE) leaks/breaks located at the lower left back corner. Can I use this WR17X1483 part
to replace the line and use the connector to connect to the original line going into the back of the refrigerator? Is the connector a quick connect?

Answer Quick, Yes, you can replace or repair the existing water line with WR17X1483 No the connector is not a "quick disconnect" it is a compression fitting and will need to be tightened 1/4 turn after hand tight. The part number for a quick disconnect is 2300868 should you choose to use that instead. Good Luck and Thanks

Answer Hi Michael. Yes, this is the correct size tubing that goes between the freezer door lower coupling and the baffle water tank behind the fresh food drawers. The actual part # for yours is part # WR17X2891. It should be the length you need. The compression fitting is part # WR2X8545. Thank You.
