Does the agitator lift off or is there a screw or bolt?
Answer Hello Jack. There is a locking screw in the side of the agitator. You loosen the screw and lift the agitator out of the unit.
Hi, I have a GE washer. The agitator stops turning and it looks not broken. The washer can still spin and drain. The belt and motor seem fine. Do you suggest to replace the agitator coupler, agitator assembly or both?
Answer Hello Jason,
I would recommend to replace the agitator coupler WH49X10042. You should verify this is the correct part by the model number from your units' I.D. tag, since it was not listed in this post. I normally verify it for each customer but could not for this reason.
