Answer Hello Martin. You need to make sure you unscrew the cap off the top of the agitator to remove it from the unit. It shouldn't be stuck into the shaft. If it still does not remove, then you may have to bust it off and replace it.

Answer Hello Natalie. Unscrew the cap off the top of the agitator and lift the agitator out of the unit. Then install new agitator in reverse order.
