My GE washer agitator won't move during washing cycle. I can see the screw coming out of the top of the agitator but not the agitator itself. What can this be and how do I check it?

Answer Hi Da. Check to see if the agitator coupler under the agitator splines are stripped. This part # is WH1X2641. You need to use blue loctite on the bolt when putting it back on. Thank You.

The agitator is not turning during wash cycle. I can see the screw coming out of the top of the agitator turning and hear it run, but that's all. No movement of the agitator. What does the a good agitator coupling look like and can I see it when looking at the back of the washer?

Answer Hello DA. The coupling WH1X2641 is located under the agitator. You will need to remove the agitator to access and replace the coupling. Hope this helps.

My washer GE WWA8900SALAA is not working during the wash cycle. The Agitator rotate back and forward intermittenyly. Do I need to replace both small and large agitator?
