How do you check if power is not going to item number AP4344962? Not sure if the motor is burned out or if the electricity is not going to the motor. Also, how many volts does the motor work on?
Answer Hi. All the fan motors are powered from the main control board part # WR55X10856. The freezer motor has a red, black and white leads. It receives dc frequency driven on pulse widths. Depending on the ambient temperature inside the cabinet from the freezer thermistor part # WR23X10580, the main board will " drive " the motor anywhere from 0.4vdc to 4.5vdc. It connects to the CN75 board connector. Pin #2 yellow wire ties to the red motor lead wire. Pin # 5 black wire ties to the white motor lead. The Black motor lead ties to the black fresh food and the black from the condenser motor. The main board CN75 gray ties to it as well and is common tied to the CN76 black and red red wire to the ice room fan motor which is also common with one side of the refreshment center momentary paddle switch feed. Check for present dc voltage. Ohm out each motor lead one to another in no specific order and they all should ohm out the same value. Not open. It will be advantageous to find the supplied tech sheet inside the cabinet to aid you in the diagnosis. It allows you to put the unit in a diagnostic mode which brings up fault codes and tells you which circuit needs assistance. Use a volt/ohm meter part # TJMA-DM1 to assist you in your diagnostics. This sheet gives the motor part # WR60X10254 ohms value of the motor windings. It is either behind the toe kick panel or in the control panel. Thank You.
