Based on the model number provided to you can you share how to safely and efficiently remove the water tank assembly and the water hoses without causing damage to the hoses or anything else to be able to inspect it and repair. I may have a small leak in the tank, but not sure till I can completely remove it from the unit. Anything special I need to know about moving the hoses carefully.
Thank you for your help and hope to hear from you soon.
The water tank is not a difficult thing to replace. The biggest issue that you would have is the removal of the tubing from the valve and from the connector at the lower freezer door hinge. The unit uses john guess compression fittings. To remove the tubing you would push in on the ring around the tubing and pull out on the tubing at the same time. This will release the tubing from the valve or the connector. Make sure that the water is shut off when doing this. Then you will remove the crisper drawer and shelving to access the tank for removal. Remove the screws holding the tank and pull out. Make sure that the tubing is disconnected at the valve and the door before pulling out. Once out just install the new tank and reconnect.
