I had asked you previously about my dishwasher issue with it not draining like it is supposed to. I changed out the entire motor-pump assembly but to no avail. However, I have still not received the sump chamber ball that I was missing initially. Would that be the finally piece in the jigsaw that helps solve this case? Thanks for your prompt response on the earlier problem.

The Unit is five years old and is not draining properly. Checked and cleaned the drain, the drain hoses, the air gap and the hose back to the garbage disposal. Also, checked the Pump motor and the drain solenoid and they come on correctly but it just doesn't drain. I am missing the chamber ball (orange ball) that I have ordered separately from GE. Would that be the problem or is it the drain pump assembly?

Does the filter ball affect the draining of the dishwasher and if so does it sit in the drain opening of the sump area?

Old Motor runs through all cycles, but it will not drain, have checked disposal to see that the knock out had been removed, have blown air through the drain tube,(drain tube is open) have taken the Impeller assembly apart, (parts show little if any wear at all)have checked the solenoid,& it works up & down to open the drain flap Per your Tech's advice I ordered,& installed a new motor/pump assembly, still will not drain. This Dishwasher was purchased as a "Used Item", so I was rechecking the motor/pump picture(#3), & noticed I'm missing an" Orange Ball Filter " could the missing piece be the cause of my problem !?, if so where does the ball filter sit?
