I took the basket out looking for bad bearings. Bearings and seal is fine. 1 arm of the spider is broken. Removed the six torque screws holding it. Basket is fine but GE doesn't sell the spider. LG Bosch and everyone else sells them why do I have to buy a 500 dollar basket when I need a 70 dollar spider. Do you know of a spider that will fit?
Answer W.O. GE isn't the only company that requires a complete spin basket, there are others. Some manufacturers are very particular and reticent when it comes to liability issues. You may want to contact the manufacturer, and see if they may assist you in a new assembly. We are unaware of any source of interchangeable or substitute parts for the basket.
My basket is very loose. The machine makes noise when running and it sounds like a AK47 when spinning. I need help please.
Answer Hello Kevin. Based on the information you provided, the outer tub assembly WH45X10071 is bad and will need to be replaced. The bearing are bad on the unit.
I have GE model wcvh6260fww that have a serious vibration issue only on the final spin can you please help me out. Thank Ray.
Answer Ray, Your first check needs to be for a proper installation all four feet need to be solid on the floor, and locked in place. If installed on a pedestal, check for a proper installation, there as well. Make sure there is no movement or vibration in the floor when the washer spins (place a glass of water on the floor 6 to 10 inches in front of the washer, the water should ripple or wave, but not spill out or splash. You may want to repost your question and attach an e mail address so we can assist you further, and supply any additional information you may need.
